The Group One Nunthorpe Stakes is one of the quickest races in the world and with York being a track that only a few horses act on we have decided to put up Regional at 14/1 each way for the race from an ante-post stand point.
A horse that is very ground dependent loving quick conditions anything from good to good to firm, if it was to rain it would put us off the selection but he would likely be a non runner unfortunately.
However, if getting his ground he looks a solid each way contender in this event at his current price with him sure to be shorter come the off.
Taking his form to a new level this term when running at York over 5f in a Handicap off a mark of 100, he bounced out the stalls and managed to see off a fast finishing well handicapped Korker by 1/2 a length.
Stepped up to Listed level at Haydock when last seen he improved again to take the event from proven sprinter Equilateral to win by over a length.
He is a horse that bounces out the stalls and tries to make all, showing some of the best raw pace in the field and although this is a massive step up and needing quick ground, his York form looks strong and at 14/1 it makes him a viable option in this current ante-post market.
