Beauport looks to hold solid claims for the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard in the G2 Rendlesham Hurdle today.

The nine-year-old comes out on top in terms of official ratings, and has reverted back to hurdles to fine effect when last seen over an extended three miles at Ascot when finishing third and just over a length behind Crambo in the G1 Long Walk.

If able to replicate that run, he should be very difficult to beat today.

Sam Thomas sends Jubilee Express to Haydock today. The eight-year-old has won once from five starts over fences, with his only win coming over course and distance last March.

He has finished outside of the places on just one occasion over the larger obstacles. Comes into this race after a fine second on his return from a 282-day break in the Welsh National.

Hiked up 12lb for that effort, but this unexposed runner over fences could still be open to improvement.

Moon Rocket is the runner from the Kim Bailey & Mat Nicholls yard today.

The five-year-old has won twice from three starts over hurdles and was very close behind Yellow Car in Grade Two company at Doncaster last month when losing by a neck.

Major player on the strength of that form, and Tom Bellamy takes the ride today.
