Here's What Racing You Can Enjoy With Us Now Cheltenham Has Finished
Unibet Lincoln Handicap
The next big racing weekend to look forward to see's us go back on to the flat for the first time in what seems like forever with the first big race of the season at Doncaster with the Lincoln Handicap.
The Lincoln has thrown up many classy winners during its time and although there is still plenty of big jumps racing festivals to go in the season, the Lincoln normally marks the start of the flat season.
The Class 2 race takes place on the last Saturday of March , which this year falls on the 30th and it is sure to be a spectacle with many high profile flat trainers and jockeys looking to get back into the swing of things straight away.
Grand National Meeting
Next see's arguably the biggest race of the year that gets the whole nation involved with office sweepstakes and everyone having a little flutter.
The Grand National at Aintree is a race that many people look forward to with the city of Liverpool coming to live for the whole three day festival and just behind the Cheltenham Festival it is the second biggest British jumps racing meeting of the year.
The three day meeting starts on the Thursday with four Grade 1 races to kick start what is truly a brilliant spectacle and us here at The Winners Enclosure will be offering plenty of superb pieces of content and bookmaker sign up offers for you to get involved in.
The Friday of the festival does not see one race that is not Graded with four Grade 1s again and Grade 2 and 3 races to enjoy.
The Saturday is the big one though, with the Grand National beckoning and apart from the Cheltenham Gold Cup it is the race that every horse, jockey and trainer wants to win in their careers.
2018 winner Tiger Roll currently sits at the top of the market to try and do what only few horses have done since the inauguration of the race and win back to back Grand Nationals
Thursday 4th, Friday 5th and Saturday 6th of April see's three days of great national hunt racing that we will be offering everything you need to know.
Scottish Grand National
Following a common theme, Ayr is next up in the spotlight with the Scottish Grand National just a week after the big one at Aintree.
Saturday 13th April will be the date that plays host to many horses trying to land the spoils over this staying distance and this contest normally see's horses that just missed out on getting into the Grand National at Aintree.
Another reason why some horses will be entered into this race is because they did run in the English National but to a very poor standard and they want to rectify that.
Again it see's another weekend of competitive racing that we will be covering with smart offers and plenty of content with previews, livestreams and podcasts based around the big day.
Irish Grand National
In what carries on the run of Grand Nationals to end the jumps season the next big race see's the Irish Grand National and there is a host of runners from the Cheltenham festival that will be looking to take the glory in this contest.
Hosted weirdly on Monday 22nd April the 3 mile 5 furlong Handicap Chase is one of the smallest distance for a Grand National which does actually intrigue many better runners.
Compared the English Steeplechase contest it doesn't usually attract the same amount of followers and raiders coming over from different countries to take part but is still a hot race.
Fairyhouse is the venue for this race and it is a huge occasion in the Irish racing calendar.
Punchestown Festival
The festival that fully rounds off the jumps racing season and one of Ireland's most competitive meetings of the year see's many horses compete against each other for the first time since the Cheltenham festival.
The Punchestown festival is very much the Irish Cheltenham with five days of superb racing offering Grade 1, 2 and 3 races across all of the days.
The meeting starts on Tuesday 30th April and runs until Saturday 4th May. It see's similar races to Cheltenham with, as said, very similar runners.
The Irish Champion Hurdle, The Irish Gold Cup and The Irish Stayers Hurdle are all up for grabs. the five days at Punchestown see's much more of an Irish Influence than Cheltenham and not as many English raiders going over but still offers a wealth of talent.
Overall there will be 39 races including 12 Grade 1 contests and a total prize pot of over €3.2 million euro, that we will be covering just like we did for the Cheltenham Festival.
Guineas Newmarket Festival
Now the jumps season is well and truly over racing does not stop and the flat comes to the forefront with many special horses ready to be unleashed in what see's the first big Group 1 contests of the season at Newmarket.
The Guineas festival offers the first of the Classic races of the season with the 2,000 Guineas Stakes and 1,000 Guineas Stakes hotly contested every year between the best colts and fillies in the sport.
The best two year olds of last season look to stamp there authority on the now three year old division with some of the horses now being fully developed and in prime condition compared to the season before.
However, both of these races have thrown up some shock winners in the past with it being very early on in the season and many of the horses first run of the season.
Saturday 4th May see's the boys big day with the best Group 1 colts in Britain fighting it out for the 2,000 Guineas title and then a day later the 1,000 Guineas see's the fillies battle it out.
This meeting at Newmarket can attract runners over from Ireland, France and even the USA with it being the first big flat day out of the season.
York Dante Festival
With the start of the flat season off and running the next big meeting takes us to the first of York racecourses big Group 1 meetings with the Dante Festival.
Three fantastic days of racing with the feature races including the Musidora Stakes, Dante Stakes and the Yorkshire Stakes.
The Musidora is seen as a leading trial for the Oaks, while the Dante is a big indicator for the Derby, as is the Yorkshire Cup for Royal Ascot.
Many of these races have been won by many special horses that have gone on to become some of the greatest flat horses of all time.
Last year was no exception with the winner of the Dante being Roaring Lion who went on to become the Cartier Horse Of The Year.
The three days are spread between Wednesday 15th May to Friday 17th giving us some classy racing on a weekday.
Epsom Derby Festival
One of the biggest days in the flat racing calendar and one of the most prestigious races in racing history see's the Epsom Derby come to the forefront.
This big event see's two more of the Classic races for the flat racing season with the two day festival starting on Friday 31st May with the Group 1 Epsom Oaks. It see's the fillies take centre stage for the day attracting runners from plenty of different countries.
Derby day comes on Saturday 1st June in what looks to be one of the best sporting days of the year with the Champions League Final and Anthony Joshua fight scheduled for the same day.
However, the Epsom Derby see's the best middle distance horses in the world face off against each other for a huge prize pot.
