Irish trainer Denis Hogan yesterday sent one horse to Ayr for one ride and also rode it to a second placed finish, and today he is doing the same again with another horse at Catterick.
Hogan is a very shrewd operator over both the flat and jumps over in Ireland but it is very interesting he has only bought one horse over to Ireland today, with it being a long way to come for just the one runner and he rides it.
The Irish handler has a decent record when travelling this far with his runners having a 10% strike rate throughout his career and this horse needs to be watched today coming over from Ireland.
Paddy The Wire has raced three times in bumpers to date with form figures of 464, last time out fnishing fourth of seven runners at Limerick and although he needs improvement on that run, this race has obviously been target and does look slightly easier.
