'National Hunt' Novices' Handicap Hurdle Final (13.50 Sandown) Asta La Pasta

Solid form since switching to hurdles for team Skelton, winning a maiden hurdle and two novice events under penalties.

Last seen carrying a double penalty to a narrow success, it tends to take an above average one to shoulder a penalty so the fact this gelding has defied a double penalty suggests he posses a fair bit of talent.

Imperial Cup Handicap Hurdle (14.25 Sandown) Faivoir

Last year’s County Hurdle hero for the Skelton’s Faivoir has failed to hit the same heights since his festival win but the handicapper has started to relent and he’s starting to look well handicapped again.

Dan Skelton was noted saying that Favoir has been working well this week which is out of character for him so wanted to opt for a sooner run than trying to defend his County Hurdle crown.

Lady Wulfruna Stakes (14.40 Wolverhampton) Shouldvebeenaring

Finished off last season dipping his toe into Grade One company and wasn’t disgraced coming 2nd in the Sprint Cup Stakes and 3rd in the Prix de la Foret on Arc weekend.

Not seen for 160 days since then he looks to return to winning ways in calmer waters here and connections look to have found him an ideal opportunity. Winning on his first outing of last season, he should be fine going fresh here and 7 furlongs looks to be his ideal trip.

Mares' Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race (3.00 Sandown) Just Call Me Lucy

Debuted in a bumper at Aintree back in October and shaped like she was in need of the racecourse experience. With the run under her belt she was then sent to Carlisle in December and bolted up by 17 lengths.

Not seen since then she’s likely strengthened up and posts the best bit of form in this field. The heavy ground is an unknown but how easily she put the race to bed at Carlisle suggests she’d clearly talented and worth her spot at this level.

Lincoln Trial Handicap (15.15 Wolverhampton) Final Voyage

An Irish raider who’s also a 3 time course and distance winner makes plenty of appeal here.

Has slowly worked himself back to full fitness with outings on the all-weather over in Ireland and took a major step forward to win handicap at Dundalk over a mile, staying on well.

Doesn’t look too badly treated off a mark of 93 and this extended mile should be right up his alley.

Serial Winners Fund Novices' Handicap Chase (15.35 Sandown) Golden Son

Arrived from France with some chase form in the books but was struggling to put it all together in the UK after finishing a good 2nd to Iroko at Warwick.

Pulled up twice he was then given a few months off the track and returned and Newbury with an impressive jumping display to hold off subsequent winner Heltenham.
