John Gosden on Wednesday landed 200 worldwide winners for the season when Disco Fever struck at Lingfield with a very taking performance in the second contest of the afternoon.
The master trainer landed his 190th winner in Britain with the two year old filly and the other 10 winners this season were made up from Ireland and France in which most of them were Group One winners.
After a decent debut fourth at Kempton two weeks ago, Disco Fever was sent off 6-4 favourite in the Ladbrokes Where The Nation Plays EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes where she showed a great turn of foot to put the race to bed with a matter of strides round the bend.
The trainer ended the day at Lingfield with 201 winners and a double on the card when Shimmering justified 7-4 favouritism in the Ladbrokes Home Of The Odds Boost EBF Novice Stakes.

“She’s learnt plenty from her first run. It’s always nice when they do it like that – although she missed the kick (last time), she learnt plenty, ran through horses and finished off. She did it all the right way round."
Havlin stated that she is one for the future saying: “She’ll be nice in the spring, I think.
“The boss will probably want to put her away now. She’s 518 kilos at the minute, so there’s plenty there to work on.
“She has speed when you want it. She picked up really well off the bend, but she was very relaxed through the race and went the right way after her first run.
“It’s nice. She’s ticking all the right boxes at the minute.”
