Yorkshire based trainer Karl Burke sends just the one runner to the south coast this evening and that horse is the Estidhkaar colt LIGHTNING GESTURE.
A disappointing seventh of 10 on debut over 6f at Carlisle, he cherished every yard of the step up to 7f at Musselburgh next time out when absolutely bolting up by five lengths.
Understandably, he's been slapped with a penalty but with a 5lbs claimer doing the steering then that claim cancels a large proportion of that out so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him make it two from three with a big performance here.
This is also Burke's first runner at the course since 2019 so there's confidence in the yard that it won't be a wasted journey with this horse.
