Love was always destined to be a smart horse and at juvenile level proved that when finishing third on her final two year old start in the Group One bet365 Fillies Mile, but this season she has transformed into a world beater.

She made her seasonal debut in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and beat a superb field of runners by over four lengths to solidify her credentials for the season.

From there O'Brien decided to step her up in trip for the Epsom Oaks and she revelled in the extra distance, beating a sound field by a devastating nine lengths.

The Yorkshire Oaks was another test for the three year old and again she passed with flying colours, not seeing a rival all the way round and going clear towards the end of the race.

All of these runs were in preparation for the Arc at ParisLongchamp but with the rain falling making the conditions extremely testing, she was withdrawn from the race.

There was rumours that the filly would head to the Breeders Cup meeting, but connections decided to pull up stumps for the season and bring her back this term.

After numerous withdrawals because of ground turning soft, she finally got her starting point at Royal Ascot in the Group One Prince Of Wales's Stakes where she managed to see off a superb field.

O'Brien explained she will come on for that run in a big way and if that is the case then she looks the one to beat.

The son of Frankel has been seen five times now, finishing fourth on debut in October at Nottingham over 8.5 furlongs when looking to learn a lot for the experience.

He then went back over the same course and distance later that month and got of the mark for the first time in his career, taking the event by an impressive nine lengths.

Saved for this season he made his return in the Group Three Classic Trial at Sandown in April and finished a staying on second behind a nice type for William Haggas.

He was then stepped up in trip for the Listed Derby Trial at Lingfield and finished a fair second behind Third Realm who was better on the day.

With his form falling short this year, he was overlooked to begin with for the Epsom Derby but the closer the race came the more that punters latched onto him and in the end he went on to win easily by close to five lengths under a superb ride by Adam Kirby.

Since then this event has always been the plan for him and having been given ample time to get ready for the event he can not be overlooked once more.

The four year old exceeded expectations last term being unbeaten on all three of his starts to date, starting in the Listed Newmarket Stakes where he saw off his highly touted stablemate Waldkonig.

He then stepped up to the French Derby at Chantilly and he landed the event in fine style, pulling away from a talented field to take the first Group One of his career.

Gosden went with the approach that if its not broke, don't fix it and he sent him back to France for the Group Two Prix Guillaume daEUR and although only a small field took to post, he landed the spoils nicely.

Having swerved the Arc the colt was in flying form and headed for the Champion Stakes at Ascot for his final run of the season and unfortunately ran no sort of race and was outclassed on the day.

However, having been given a break and fine tuned for his run in the Saudi Cup he stayed on best of the rest in the final stages to see off American challenger Charlatan to land the second renewal of the race.

His international exploits didn't stop there and last time out he was seen landing the Group One Dubai Sheema Classic in the final strides at Meydan to cap off a superb few months in Asia.

The son of Make Believe was given a break and returned in the four runner Coral Eclipse and was outclassed by both St Mark's Basilica and Addeybb.

On that run he is opposable, but anything like his foreign runs then he could feature, but needs to bounce back.

Lone Eagle is impressively bred out of Galileo, Lone Eagle was extremely progressive as a 2yo, winning 3/4 runs last season, improving with each to land the Zetland stakes (G3, 10f) on his final run of 2020.

He continued his progression this season with a respectable fourth placed finish in the Classic Trial at Sandown (G3, 10f), from which both, King Edward VIII Stakes (G2, 12f) winner Alenquer and Epsom Derby (G1, 12f) winner Adayar, have emerged from.

A bigger bonus coming out of that race was that Lone Eagle clearly needed the run and subsequently turned a 3 3/4 beating from the third placed horse, Yibir, into a four length win when re-opposing that rival at Goodwood (Listed, 11f) next time out upon soft conditions.

Last time out the progressive three year old was seen giving a career best performance in the Group One Irish Derby when loving the step up to 1m4f, finishing a narrow second to Hurricane Lane in a photo-finish.

The Godolphin colt has since franked the form in the Group One Grand Prix de Paris and if handling the quick ground could be the place value if going from the front again.

The four year old daughter of Le Havre has been a revelation over the last few season for the yard, getting onto soft/heavy ground and revelling in it.

Having landed a Group Three at Deauville in August on heavy ground, he then went into the Group One Prix Vermeille at Paris Longchamp and the good ground went against him.

Stepped up to 1m6f in October he landed the Group One Prix de Royallieu at the Arc meeting on heavy ground and then later that month back that up with a career best performance over 12f in the British Champions Fillies & Mares at Ascot, when landing another Group One on heavy groun

Back for his first start since October, she was sent into the Group Two Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot and with the soft ground playing to her strengths she ran out an extremely impressive winner.

However, the ground on Saturday looks to be quicker than what she likes and unless rain falls, she might be vulnerable to some of the runners near the top of the market.

Still a top animal, just has not got her ground.

Broome has always held big potential being smart at both three and four, but this season as a five year old has been his best to date.

He has been seen six times, landing a hat-trick of wins to start the season including the Group Two Mooresbridge stakes at the Curragh.

After that he was a narrow second in the Group One Tattersalls Gold Cup and again he had to play bridesmaid at Royal Ascot in the Hardwicke Stakes.

Turned around quickly, he was last seen seeing off a strong challenge from the French to take the Group One Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud by a length and at either 1m2f or 1m4f he is a very special talent, but in this field he needs a career best to go close.
