Willie Mullins superstar mare landed the Unibet Listed Mares Hurdle in a race that should have seen four runners go to post but for two late non runners just saw Laurina and Sensulano for Noel Williams.
Laurina was untouched the whole way round with Sensulano ridden by Barry Geraghty coming off the bridle with still four fences left to jump.
This contest was supposed to be a perfect seasonal debut for the six year old but in fact looked to be a waste of time and more like a schooling session with Ruby Walsh travelling over from Ireland for just this ride.
Laurina now makes this five out of five and keeps her perfect record over hurdles going but it looks like she will definitely need at least one more and maybe two more runs before her quest to take the Grade 1 Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
She went on to score in this contest by 48 lengths and never even came out of a canter. This horse is truly special and one of the most exciting hurdlers in the sport at the moment.
She has now been moved into 7/2 second favourite to take the Champion Hurdle from a previous price of 5/1 before this race. This did not tell us anything we did not know about this mare but there is certainly more to come.
