That's The Badger is the runner from the Matt Sheppard stable at Leicester on Thursday.

The yard is striking at a 38% rate over the last two weeks, and Stan Sheppard is booked to take the ride today.

The nine-year-old remains a maiden after nine starts under rules, and was pulled up on his long-awaited return to the track after a 1063-day absence.

That was a first start since finishing fourth behind Pemberley over three miles at Warwick in December 2021. Would have needed that run, and more can be expected on this second start for new connections.

Easy To Follow is the runner from the Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole yard at Leicester on Thursday.

Luke Scott is booked to take the ride on the six-year-old mare, who has won twice from four starts over hurdles.

She made a respectable return to the course at Bangor at the end of October, finishing second behind Mermaids Cave.

The rain would have aided her chances, with both of her previous victories being recorded on heavy ground. Entitled to come on from that second following a 276-day break.
