Hudson De Grugy should be an interesting contender in the Surrey National today.

The eight-year-old represents the Gary & Josh Moore yard, and Caoilin Quinn is booked to take the ride.

Hudson De Grugy has won twice from 13 starts over fences, and was last seen being pulled up over three miles and two at Newbury at the end of December.

However, a recent effort on soft ground at Fontwell suggests he will stay this trip, winning over two miles and three impressively.

Just Aidan is the runner from the Harriet Dickin yard today.

The six-year-old is yet to break his maiden tag after going eight without a win over hurdles.

However, he looked to finally get his act together over a mile and seven earlier this month when a decent third at Wincanton. Yard in excellent form, and well worth another go today.

Jeremy Scott sends Joe Cotton to Lingfield today. The seven-year-old has finished as the runner-up on his last three starts.

That gives him an obvious each-way appeal. However, a win could soon be arriving, and the trip could be key today.

His best career RPR was recorded over two miles and five in November when second behind Boys Of Wexford at Fontwell. Should go close.
