There seems to have been some big money put down ahead of some of the racing at Haydock today and we have highlighted one runner that has undergone some serious support.
The horse in question is the Donald McCain trained Goobinator who has seen his original offering of 9/2 last night, cut into as short as 9/4 ahead of his class 3 handicap hurdle contest this afternoon.
Goobinator, a son of Noble Mission, put up some strong performances on the flat this summer, boasting form figures of 3114; he won twice over 2 miles in class 4 handicaps before putting in a stellar performance to finish 4th, upped in grade and distance to an 18f class 2, in the Cesarewitch behind Graded winning hurdler, Buzz.
He was a well fancied proposition for the switch back to hurdling last time out at Bangor however took a tumble 3 out, ending all chance in the affair.
He looks well worth another go of things, leaving the impression of a well handicapped hurdler on evidence of his exploits on the flat, and the market appears to agree with that view.
