There seems to have been some big money put down ahead of some of the racing at Chester today and we have highlighted one runner that has undergone some serious market support.
The horse in question is the David Evans trained Lihou that has seen his opening price of 8/1 be smashed into as short as 11/4 at some bookmakers.
Lihou, a son of Mayson, is taking a drop in grade in order to be competitive in this class 3 handicap after finishing a respectable 4th on lesser suited fast ground last time out in a class 2.
Despite coming down in grade, he's well weighted for the contest off 8stone 13lbs and will appreciate the softer conditions he receives today.
He's a previous course winner so should also appreciate the return to this venue whilst the in form John Egan is a solid booking on board.
