There seems to have been some big money put down ahead of some of the racing at Chepstow today and we have highlighted one runner that has undergone some serious market support.

The horse in question is the Philip Hobbs trained Luttrell Lad that has seen his opening price of 15/2 for the feature race of the day be smashed into as short as 9/4.

He rounded out last season with an impressive fourth in the Grade Two bumper at the Grand National Meeting at Aintree.

Put away until the start of the season he came back last month with a debut over hurdles.

He took to jumps immediately and obliged at a very short price of 1/4 to score at Worcester over two miles.

The form doesn’t look the strongest but he won with plenty in hand and showed his class with a good run in a graded event at the tail end of last season.

Moving up in trip will likely suit and with Hobbs taking the event with Thyme Hill in 2019, punters think he can do it this year again.
