There seems to have been some big money put down ahead of some of the racing at Dundalk this evening and we have highlighted one runner that has undergone some serious market support.
The horse in question is the Luke Comer trained Dr Patrick that has seen his opening price of 9/4 be smashed into as short as 10/11.
The trainer has his yard in decent form of late with 65% of his runner running to form across the last 14 days; he saddled a winner and 2 placed runners, including a 125/1 shot, at the track on Wednesday.
Dr Patrick improved markedly last time out for the switch to the all-weather after previously showing next to nothing across his opening 6 runs on turf.
He kept on well inside the final furlong that day and remains unexposed and now open to further improvement upon the surface.
This race is very low grade stuff and Dr Patrick represents a runner who should have more than enough ability to land a race of such stature.
