There seems to have been some big money put down ahead of some of the racing at Fakenham today and we have highlighted one runner that has undergone some serious support.
The horse in question is the Sarah Bowen trained Al Kherb that has seen his opening price of 10/1 be smashed into as short as 4/1 ahead of the 15:20 at the Norfolk based track.
Al Kherb was recently acquired by the Bowens from John Quinn, purchased on the back of a 1.5l win in selling company last time out at Stratford.
He proved a consistent, yet frustrating, runner for former connections, highlighted by the hat-trick of runner-up efforts recorded in the summer.
Having said this, he now offers hope to return a different proposition under new stewardship, especially given that a change of scenery and training approach for a horse can often spark vast improvements.
The support in todays market offers plenty to say that this may be the case on his return from a two month break.
