There seems to have been some big money put down ahead of some of the racing at Ayr today and we have highlighted one runner that has undergone some serious market support.
The horse in question is the Nick Alexander trained Cancan who has seen his opening price of 7/2 be smashed into as short as 15/8 ahead of the 14:15 at the Scottish venue.
Last seen in a Mares' Novice Hurdle over todays C&D in November, Cancan overcame some well fancied less exposed types to prevail by a 3/4 length margin, showing improvements on the back of a two month layoff.
Nick Alexander boasts an impressive 19% strike rate with his last time out winners next time up and there's plenty reason to believe this daughter of Al Namix can follow up here having been boosted just 6lbs for her win.
She is able to just about sneak into a 0-105 rated Class 5, marking a return to handicap company at a more than attainable level given the form of her last performance at Class 4 level.
Looks set for another big run and her hefty weight is given a welcome offset by 3lb claimer Bruce Lynn in the saddle.
