There seems to have been some big money put down ahead of some of the racing at Chepstow today and we have highlighted one runner that has undergone some serious market support.
The horse in question is the David Pipe trained Seventeen O Four who has seen his opening price of 9/2 be smashed into as short as 2/1 ahead of the 15:55 at the Welsh venue.
The son of Gutaifan was a fair flat performer at Class 5 and 6 level and subsequently made the switch to hurdling last time out here at Chepstow, making an encouraging start to life over obstacles.
Going off as a 150/1 outsider for the contest, he competed in a hot affair that day; the winner, Ree Okka, has form as a runner-up behind Gelino Bello in an Aintree race stacked with subsequent winners, the runner-up, Complete Unknown, has since placed in a higher graded class 3 race, and the 3rd runner home, Last Royal, went off a well backed favourite yesterday at Huntingdon, travelling like the most likely winner before taking a tumble 3 out.
Seventeen O Four is open to plenty improvement second time out over hurdles, is clearly well suited to Chepstow, and if the market is anything to go by, is expected to put in another big run here.
