Mini Stable Guide - Kim Bailey

Mini Stable Guide

We are starting a new segment here on TWE where we look through and speak to trainers ahead of the upcoming jumps season and get some words from them about their horses and what is to come this season.

The first stable we are going to look through is that of national hunt trainer Kim bailey who is stationed out of Thorndale Farm in Cheltenham.

We have asked him about his chase horses, hurdle horses and also any other things we should know from his team ahead of the 2019/20 jumps season.

Chase Horses

We asked Mr Bailey for three horses that are going over fences this season that will be worth following from his yard and he responded with:

VINNDICATION - "He goes to Wetherby for Charlie Hall Chase on Saturday 2nd November or if this is not the case the Colin Parker at Carlisle the following day."

ROCKY'S TREASURE - "He goes to Cheltenham in 3 weeks for their first meeting of the season and then all being well the Beecher Chase at Aintree will be his next target."

DANDY DAN - "He goes to Kelso on October 26th for his seasonal debut and we chose this contest as he won it last year."

Hurdle Horses

We asked Mr Bailey for three horses that are going over Hurdles this season that will be worth following from his yard and he responded with:

IMPERIAL AURA - "He heads to Chepstow next weekend and depending how she performs on that outing we will then see where we go after"

YOUNEVERCALL- "He had a set back at Ascot on the flat at Royal Ascot in the Queen Alexandra Stakes and will now be aimed at Sandown again late season when he is right again"

ADJOURNED - "This horse is certainly one to note for the upcoming season and we are unsure on where to start him off for his first run over flights."

Other Things To Note For The Season

When speaking to Kim Bailey we also asked him if there were any other horses or any other things we should know about it for the new season.

He said: "It is too early to say on our bumper horses but we have some nice youngsters who have not seen a racecourse yet."

Bailey is known for producing some lovely horses from their bumper days and it looks as if he is trying to do that again with his new flock of newcomers.

To finish we asked him what race he would love to win this season if he had the chance and he added: "Cheltenham Gold cup.. it is the best"
