John & Thady Gosden-trained Ashmolean could be an interesting newcomer in the 16:00 at Newcastle on Tuesday. Kieran Shoemark takes the ride, with the jockey striking at 25% over the last two weeks.

The two-year-old has no previous racecourse experience, but he looks to have a pedigree that suggests he could be an exciting contender.

The Frankel colt is a second foal out of the top-class Coronet, who won over distances ranging from a mile to a mile and four. Therefore, this debut outing over a mile should suit.

HK Fourteen represents the Tony Carroll yard in the 17:00 at Newcastle on Tuesday.

The four-year-old has been a revelation for connections since the start of October, winning on three of his last four starts. That included a victory over course and distance at the start of November when beating Captain Vallo by just under a length.

Followed up with a second win at Newcastle over five furlongs a day later, before his winning sequence was ended over six furlongs at Southwell.

Didn't have luck in-running on that day, and he could resume winning ways back at Newcastle today.
