Skyjack Hijack looks challenging to oppose for a red-hot Jennie Candlish team in the second race on the card at Newcastle. Sean Quinlan takes the ride on the six-year-old, who is unpenalised for a recent success at Aintree on October 27.

He jumped for fun in his win over an extended three miles, beating City Derby by a 16-length margin. Skyjack Hijack has enjoyed an excellent summer, winning each of his last three.

Ground conditions are no concern, with the selection having won on both good and heavy ground.

Drops back to an extended two miles and seven, but remains very challenging to overlook.

Blueberry Wine looks to be well handicapped on his return over hurdles in the 15:15 at Newcastle. Donaldo McCain is operating at an 11% strike rate, with Theo Gillard taking the ride.

The selection was last seen finishing tenth of 13 over fences over an extended two miles at Worcester in mid-September. He is yet to win in six starts over hurdles, but has placed on three occasions.

Was last seen over hurdles in May, finishing a decent third behind Geordies Dream at odds of 4/1.

The extra distance at Newcastle looks set to enhance his chances in an attempt to end a losing sequence that stands at ten races.
