Newmarket (14:10) Tip - Gap Year

While Gap Year might not have the most imposing record, recent form suggests this two-year-old is a potential threat in the 14:10 PM race at Newmarket. The Eve Johnson Houghton-trained colt has shown a liking for fast ground, evidenced by his solid third at Epsom on August 26. A subsequent fourth at Windsor on September 2 was perhaps a bit disappointing, but considering the quick turnaround and the competitive field, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Gap Year bounce back. Jockey Charles Bishop, who has partnered the horse in all four starts, clearly knows the horse well and will be confident of a big run. At odds of 9/2, Gap Year represents a decent each-way bet in a wide-open race.

Newmarket (14:45) Tip - Funny Story

Funny Story, a four-year-old gelding trained by Ralph Beckett, enters the 14:45 PM race at Newmarket with a decent chance of victory. The son of Kingman has shown a consistent level of form this season, highlighted by a second-place finish at Newmarket on May 4. While a 12th-placed effort at York in July was a disappointment, Funny Story bounced back with a creditable third at Chelmsford on August 4. The switch to Rossa Ryan in the saddle could prove a masterstroke, as the young jockey has been riding in excellent form. Funny Story's current odds of 11/4 make him a strong contender for the win.

⭐ Newmarket (15:20) Tip - Monumental

Monumental, a two-year-old colt trained by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by Ryan Moore, is the clear favourite for the 15:20 PM race at Newmarket. The son of Galileo has been in excellent form this season, winning twice and finishing second twice in four starts. His most recent victory came at Gowran Park on September 3, where he defeated a decent field over seven furlongs on good ground. Monumental's impressive form and the combination of O'Brien and Moore make him the horse to beat in the race. At odds of 15/8, he is a strong favourite but could still offer value considering his recent performances.

Newmarket (15:55) Tip - Harbour Wind

Harbour Wind, a four-year-old gelding trained by Dermot Weld and ridden by Chris Hayes, is a strong contender for the 15:55 PM race at Newmarket. He has been consistent this season, winning three times and finishing second twice in six starts. His most recent victory came at Limerick on June 22, where he defeated a decent field over twelve and a half furlongs on good ground. Harbour Wind's form over longer distances makes him a potential threat in this marathon contest, and the combination of Weld and Hayes gives him a strong chance of victory. At odds of 9/2, Harbour Wind represents a decent each-way bet in a wide-open race.

⭐ Newmarket (16:30) Tip - Wonder Kid

While Wonder Kid might not be the most obvious choice in the 16:30 PM race at Newmarket, his recent form suggests he could be a hidden gem. The Hugo Palmer-trained gelding has shown a liking for the Rowley Mile, and his victory there on June 13 is a testament to his ability. A sixth-placed finish at Ascot in July was a blip, but his subsequent second at Newmarket on July 13 suggests he's back on track. With Harry Davies in the saddle, Wonder Kid has a real chance to cause a surprise at a generous 4/1.

Newmarket (17:05) Tip - Amsterdam

While Amsterdam might not have the most glamorous record, his recent form suggests he's a horse on the up. The Ed Walker-trained three-year-old has shown a liking for fast ground, and his second-placed finishes at York and Ascot in his last two starts are particularly noteworthy. A fifth at Haydock in July was a minor setback, but considering the competitive field and the quick turnaround, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Amsterdam bounce back. With Oisin Murphy, a jockey in top form, in the saddle, Amsterdam has a real chance to shine in the 17:05 PM race at Newmarket. At odds of 7/2, he represents a solid each-way bet.
