Macari is the runner from the Sheena West yard in the 14:40 at Plumpton today. Marc Goldstein is booked to take the ride, and the four-year-old boasts obvious claims.

He has won once from ten starts over hurdles, and ran to great credit over course and distance two weeks ago when finishing fifth of eleven.

He has been consistent throughout this season, winning over a mile and four at Newbury and taking second over course and distance in November. Likely to be on the scene at this lower level.

I Shut That d'Or could be hard to oppose in the 15:10 at Plumpton on Monday. The six-year-old is the runner from the Joe Tizzard yard, with Sam Twiston-Davies booked to take the ride.

The six-year-old has recorded a victory over course and distance, beating Theonlywayiswessex by over a length in early November. Plenty to like about his latest effort when finishing a close second behind My Mate Polly over two miles and four.

Likely to go close again today if brushing up his jumping.

A competitive Mares' Flat Race rounds off the card at Plumpton on Monday. A chance could be taken on Mustang Betty for the Toby Lawes yard.

Kevin Brogan is booked to take the ride on the five-year-old mare, who showed plenty of ability on her debut under rules at the end of November 2023. She finished third behind Rula Bula, but that form has worked out incredibly well.

Absent since that effort, but she has the ability to feature on her return to action.
