Ralph Beckett has sent just two runners up north to Redcar in the past year and he sends his third runner on the 560 mile round trip today.
By French Group 1 winner Vadamos, the colt was sent off at 9/2 over 6f on debut at Leicester but he could only manage an eight lengths seventh of 12.
He did however improve next time out at Newbury when staying on fairly once paced over the same distance to claim a much improved four lengths sixth of 11.
He now steps up in trip to a distance in which his dam won over back in 2017 and with improvement likely again, he'll be an interesting watch in a competitive novice stakes.
