Superstar filly and unlucky runner up in last weekends Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, Sea Of Class has today been announced that she will not run again this season and instead be put away and rested through the winter.
The overall thesis for the three year old was that she could return for one last blow out before the end of the season in America at the Breeders Cup, but sadly that won't be happening and she will be go back with William Haggas to his stables in Newmarket.
The Irish and Yorkshire Oaks winner, unlike her rival Enable who just pipped her on the weekend, has been racing all season when making her debut in the Craven Meeting and from there she has ran five more times and before the weekend was unbeaten since after her debut.
Before being announced today that she will be put away for the rest of the season, the William Haggas trained youngster was a 7/4 favourite for the Filly and Mare Turf at Churchill Downs at the start of November.
The daughter of Sea The Stars who is owned by Ling and Christopher Tsui, who was so proud of there filly at Longchamp has made the decision to rest his horse until next season with the aim to build a campaign to have a strong go at next years Arc. She is currently joint favourite for the big one in Paris next season with dual winner Enable at 6/1.
