It's fair to say, that anything Sean Quinlan touches at the moment turns to gold.
He notched up a hat-trick of wins on Sunday at Kelso, with eye-catching victories aboard Sandy Thomson's Dimple; who won by twenty lengths, and Achill Road Boy for Stuart Coltherd, by two less - both in Handicap steeplechases.
Quinlan also had two narrow victors on Friday and Saturday, with both Magic Dragon and Zig Zag recording narrow successes at Sedgefield and Wetherby respectively.
That now takes his winners since Boxing Day to twelve; seven since the turn of the year, and now sits on 35 winners for the season as a result, just three behind his best career total.
The jockey has since come out, and saluted his agent Richard Hale as the genius behind his successes.
(Credit: Racing Post) He said: "He’s [Hale] been unbelievable since I joined him,” said Quinlan.
“We had an aim at the start of the season to get 50 winners – which would be great – and we’re more than halfway there.
“A lot of it is down to Richard. He gets me rides and gets me on the best horses I can be on. I’ve just got to do the steering.
“The more rides you get, the more winners you get, and you take the confidence into your riding," he finished.
The jockey has five booked rides at Newcastle this afternoon on a seven-race card.
