The final English Classic event of the season is the Group One St Leger Stakes and we have already came up with an ante-post selection for the big race at Doncaster but we now have a second big priced selection that is worth playing alongside our other.
Having put up Gregory at 14/1 earlier on in the season and the John & Thady Gosden trained colt now the 7/2 favourite, we feel another solid option for the race looks to be the Aidan O'Brien trained Tower Of London.
The three year old son of Galileo is a full brother to Capri who won this race for the same connections in 2017 and currently at 14/1 looks big value.
Making his juvenile debut last term over a mile when looking like a smart type by winning by just over two lengths, he was then seen once more as a juvenile when finishing last of the five in the Group Two Champions Juvenile Stakes over the same C&D, being beaten by the likes if Auguste Rodin, Caroline Street and Alder.
Returning as a three year old this term he was stepped up to 1m2f on seasonal debut at Leopardstown in the Group Three Derby Trial Stakes when needing the run finishing back in sixth behind winner Sprewell.
Since then the colt has been upped to 1m4f at Leopardstown in the Listed King George V Cup and up to 1m5f in the Ulster Derby at Down Royal and has gone on to land both of them impressively.
The further he has gone the better he has become and with proven stamina in his pedigree and O'Brien winning two of the last six renewals, he looks the yards best chance and at 14/1 could be overpriced.
