Southwell host a decent card on the all weather on Friday afternoon and there has been some big money come for one of the horses in the Division One Handicap over six furlongs.
Spring Romance for trainer Mick Appleby has undergone a massive gamble in the sprint contest being a decent price of 7/1 yesterday evening and today is as short as 7/4.
The five year old gelding does not have much form to go off having neither won or placed since June 2019 and although running to a fair standard on stable debut over course and distance last week, he will need to have improved a lot.
In his last 11 races his best run came when finishing fifth of 12 runners and it makes you think what people know about this horse if big money is coming for it and his form does not stack up at all.
