Charlie's Choice represents the David Simcock yard at Southwell on Tuesday. The four-year-old will have Hayley Turner aboard.

The gelding was placed twice in November, including over a mile and one at Wolves when finishing a close second behind Up The Jazz.

Is just 1lb higher than those efforts, and could be open to further improvement now back up to a mile and four for the first time since finishing fifth behind Haku at Wolverhampton in February.

Hiya Maite is the runner from the Ray Bowring stable on Tuesday, with in-form Tom Eaves booked to take the ride.

The six-year-old is a dual winner over course and distance, including when beating Above by five furlongs in December 2023. Was well beaten over six furlongs at Southwell last month when tenth of 12.

However, back over his optimal trip, and this proven front-runner boasts solid claims.

Rossa Ryan is booked to take the ride on Jim Boyle-trained Western Stars on Tuesday.

The five-year-old was a winner over a mile and six at Wolverhampton last month, beating Green Team by a length. Was well held over two miles at Lingfield last week, finishing sixth of eleven and 12 lengths behind Poncho.

Back down to his last winning trip, and looks a solid chance to bounce back to his best form in top hands.
