Stratford (14:05) Tip - L'Eau du Sud

Dan Skelton's yard has made a red hot start to the season, operating at a 27% strike rate over the last two weeks.

The team's momentum is set to continue at Stratford today, with the well-fancied L'Eau du Sud expected to open his account over fences.

The six-year-old was largely progressive over hurdles last season, finishing second in the County Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and a close fifth behind Favour And Fortune in the G2 Scottish Champion Hurdle.

Chasing has been the aim for this runner since being picked up by famous owners, and a statement could be made at Stratford over an extended two miles and three today.

Stratford (15:35) Tip - Smurfette

Smurfette is preferred to resume her progress at the start of the new season for the Jack Andrews and Tom Ellis combination.

The trainer is currently operating at a 20% strike rate and has been building momentum for her new yard throughout the summer.

She was last seen getting up in the nick of time at Warwick over two miles and four, beating School For Scandal by a short head.

Was previously second behind Belgarum over two miles and five at Fontwell in last August. Still appears to be ahead of the handicapper, and could follow up on a win last month.

Stratford (16:05) Tip - Queen's Theatre

A competitive flat race over an extended two miles rounds off the card, with market leader Crystabel being one of few with a recent run under their belt.

However, Queen's Theatre could be worth chancing on her rules debut. Anthony Honeyball's yard have been in excellent form in bumpers this calendar year, and they have been operating at 25% over the last two weeks.

Rex Dingle is booked to take the ride. She is fancied to make a winning start under rules, and her pedigree suggests that she could be one to keep on side as the season progresses.
