Denzil is the runner for the in-form Dan Skelton yard in the 13:05 at Taunton on Thursday. The yard is striking at 24% over the last two weeks, and talented young rider Harry Atkins is booked to take the ride.

The three-year-old was a winner on rules debut at Stratford in early October, beating Celestrial Ruby by 55 lengths.

Was well beaten on his following start by Liam Swagger over two miles, but stepped back in the right direction when a close second behind Tashan at Warwick.

On better terms than the same rival today, and should be hard to beat.

De Tellers Fortune is preferred to make a winning start over fences for the Nicky Henderson team at Taunton on Thursday.

The yard is striking at 25% over the last two weeks, and James Bowen is booked to take the ride. He won once from two starts over hurdles last season, with his success coming over two miles and four at Ffos Las, beating Milan Ac by two lengths.

Was a winner of an Irish point in February 2023, and that form has decent substance. Should make his presence felt off this opening mark.
