The first horse to follow at Epsom comes in the first on Friday with Flaming Rib for Tom Dascombe looking like a very smart individual.

The two year old colt has been seen twice to date, finishing third on debut in a 5f Novice Stakes at Ripon, but improved markedly from that to score well last time out at Nottingham.

The son of smart miler Ribchester looks to be a big player on figures alone, and having drifted left last time out and still won a taking manor makes even more of a threat if cutting that out.

William Buick takes the ride and he has been in fine form this season to date.

The next horse to follow on the Friday is Irish Admiral for William Haggas who is set to go off favourite for the Class 2 Handicap over 1m 1/2f.

The four year old ran nicely on both occasions as a juvenile, winning at Dundalk for trainer John Feane on debut and then backed that up in Listed company at Leopardstown when a good third.

Moved over to Haggas this season the gelding got back to winning ways in a Novice Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Wolves.

He was then last seen stepping up in trip at York over 1m2f and finishing a fair third behind Surrey Pride, making headway from the rear but being outstayed close home.

Irish Admiral drops back to his preferred trip today off only 1lb higher than his last winning mark and it would be a surprise to not see him involved.

The daughter of Sea The Stars has been seen thrice to date, finishing second on debut over a mile at Newcastle in October and when stepped up in trip a month later got off the mark in taking style.

The step up to 1m2f was the making of this horse as she dominated a decent field by nine lengths, but on her turf debut she was slightly disappointing.

Teona reared in the stalls ahead of the Group Three Musidora Stakes and having ran green early on she did not have enough in the finish to challenge the winner.

She has to reverse the form with Snowfall and although she will come on for that run and still holds bundles of ability, she needs to settle better to have any chance, but getting back to a sounder surface could do the trick.

The final horse to follow at the weekend comes on the Saturday from Epsom in the Group Three Princess Elizabeth Stakes and Maamora for Simon & Ed Crisford looks a big improver for an inform yard.

The mare has been highly consistent over the last few years and ended her 2020 season with a superb win in the Group Three Atalanta Stakes at Sandown over a mile.

She returned this term after 251 days off the track and finished fifth of six runners, in what looked like a pipe cleaner ahead of this race.

Maamora travelled well from the front that day and just faded late on and now she should be be fully tuned up.
