Shaun Lycett's Irish import improved markedly from a lacklustre stable debut, travelling strongly before missing out in the final strides.
He remains lightly raced and should be winning again soon.
Was forced to race wide on the home turn but stuck on well to finish a solid second and was comfortably ahead of the third.
One to side with next time out.
J P McManus' French import returned from 143 days off the track to show improvement on his first start over three miles, tiring late into fourth.
