The first horse to follow on Saturday at Sandown comes in the Juvenile Hurdle over two miles and the horse that takes our eye is the Ian Williams trained Malakahna.

The four year old filly moved over to Britain in the summer, racing twice on the flat in France, winning on his final start at Toulouse.

Bought for €40,000 and given to Williams, she made her seasonal/hurdle/British debut at Fakenham in a Juvenile Hurdle and she showed plenty of ability to go and win by eight lengths.

Upped in class in December into a Listed Fillies' Juvenile Hurdle at Aintree she was fifth of nine runners, with the horses ahead of her being very smart.

Dropping back into this grade and having that better experience could make her tough to beat, with the soft ground set to suit.

Next up is the smart Adamantly Chosen for Willie Mullins who holds a very respectable form line from just two runs, once in a bumper and once over hurdles.

Being seen for the first time in April 2021, he went on to land a very well represented bumper, with the second and third since coming out the race and winning well.

Looking to do the same on hurdles debut this term he took on the talented Gringo D'aubrelle who just out battled him at the line.

The Gordon Elliott horse has since contested the Grade One Challow Novices' Hurdle and was a respectable third, which helps the formline.

This event looks a perfect event to get off the mark for Adamantly Chosen and for that reason should be followed.

The final tracker horse for the weekend comes from the flat with Kempton showing off a decent card on the evening and My Mirage in the Novice Stakes looks like a horse ready to win races.

The Bjorn Nielsen owned filly has only been seen once to date and it came last year in November when a length second over six furlongs.

She looked to be crying for a step up to 7f and she gets that today and being a half sister to a winner over that trip on the all weather gives her big appeal on Saturday.

Interesting prospect.
