Watch for the horse in the rear, looking for room down the inside, Cruyff Turn's jockey was unable to get animated in the saddle until the gap finally did appear and once it did, the runner flew on in eye-catching fashion to take 4th.
He shaped shaping as if he was still well in following his win in the 18 runner deep Clipper Logistics handicap at York on his penultimate start; finishing ahead of Saturday's Cambridgeshire Handicap market leaders Magical Morning and Astro King.
He now runs off an untouched mark for this last time out performance, and can once again assert himself over well suited good to firm conditions in the 14:05 at Haydock.
