Mixboy - who certainly likes to play up, and has struggled in Class 2's on the flat recently, followed up his Sedgefield win with a narrow victory in the Millbry Hill Handicap. He made most under Joe Fanning, and sooned joined and passed the leaders with a furlong to go. Kept on well, and denied Illustrissime and Gabriele Malune by half-a-length. Good win.
1:25 Mixboy
2:10 Some Chaos
After a 613-day layoff, Some Chaos jumped his rivals silly in the Star Sports Bet Novices' Handicap Chase on his first start for Michael Scudamore. It was also his first race over the larger obstacles having been campaigned for hurdles nearly two years ago by Charles Whittaker. We have not seen him for such a long time, and he did not see anyone on his way round before scoring by seven lengths at Bangor. Was clear from the eighth from home, and was unchallenged.
3:25 The Worlds End
Another making his first start over fences, The Worlds End won comfortably at Chepstow this afternoon in this Beginners' Chase. Competitive against the best staying hurdlers last season, he was always going to be hard to beat on his chasing bow, and that was certainly the case. Jumped beautifully, and went further clear up the run-in to score by almost fifteen lengths in the end. Exciting times ahead for this 7yo, Adrian Heskin at the double for the McNeill Family.
