The Nicky Henderson inmate has only ever been seen once racing. But the six year old made an immediate impression when handily defeating Soaring Glory.

Debuting back in November at Newbury, the son of Flemensfirth wasn’t un-fancied in the market despite being less experienced than his main market rival. Soaring Glory had three bumper runs and a hurdle win already to his name.

Soaring Glory in fact beat subsequent Challow Hurdle winner Bravemansgame on hurdle debut but couldn’t give weight away to Dusart.

The form has taken some serious boosting since with Soaring Glory being a runaway winner of the Betfair Hurdle and not being disgraced in the Supreme last month.

We don’t know a lot about Dusart, but what we have seen has been highly impressive and in this race Henderson has won five of the last 10 renewals so he is worth following.

We have been going through some stats for the Grade One Mildmay Novices' Chase on Friday and there is only one horse in the line up that fits all of them.

Five of the last eight winners ran in the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase this season, with 30 of the last 31 (97%) winners were priced 10/1 or less on the day of the race.

24 of the last 29 winners had won over at least three miles before during career and with that 34 of the last 38 (83%) winners had won twice or more over fences during their careers.

Finally, 15 of the last 18 (83%) winners raced at the Cheltenham Festival before Aintree's meeting and 19 of the last 21 (90%) winners had run in at least 4 chases this term.

Shan Blue for Dan and Harry Skelton is the only horse in the line up that fills all of these stats and off the back of that is worth a go in the Grade One.

The gelding has won five of his last six events over fences, with his biggest scalps coming on both his runs this term when taking a nice Handicap Chase at Kelso on seasonal debut and then last time out taking the Old Roan Chase over course and distance in October.

When landing that Grade Two he saw off Clondaw Castle, who has since franked the form and also beat Itchy Feet who looks held with Nuts Well.

Consistent course and distance winner and his trainer Ann Hamilton has a 100% strike rate over the past two weeks and during 2021 so far she has had six winners from 12 runners.

She is a trainer on the up and with her only runner on the day being Nuts Well, he is worth taking notice of,
