The St Leger is just a day away and having already looked back at last year's renewal we are now going back another year to when Aidan O'Brien and Kew Gardens landed the Group One.
Kew Gardens has been a superb horse for the Ballydoyle yard and having this season retired, we can look back on his great accomplishments, the best being his win in the St Leger back in 2018.
He has since gone on to feature in some of the sharpest black type events around the world, winning the Grand Prix de Paris, Group Two Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot and defeating the superstar stayer Stradivarius in last terms Long Distance Cup on British Champions Day.
A superb horse who had a superb career, more so over the staying distances and his performance in this Classic race is one to be remembered.
