The weekend is almost upon us and that means that the best racing across the week is ready to get started and with that in mind we are looking back at one of the best performances the feature Tingle Creek has seen over the last few years.
There has not been an abundance of horses in this event that have come over from Ireland and actually gone onto win the race, but Un De Sceaux in 2016 was one of those horses.
The superstar for Willie Mullins had an illustrious career throughout the years, landing Cheltenham festival wins in the Arkle and the Ryanair Chase, whilst also landing significant Grade Ones in Ireland and England.
Has raced all the way up to the age of 12, the gelding was a top class performer throughout his career racing 31 times in either Britain or Ireland and finishing in the top two on 28 occasions.
In 2016 he landed this Grade One, seeing off dual winner Sire De Grugy in the final stages in what was one of the classy renewals of the last five years.
He was seen again in the event twice after that and finished second on both occasions, in 2018 behind Altior and last year narrowly behind Defi Du Seuil.
