The weekend is nearly upon us and with a card at Ascot that would please any racing fan we are throughly looking forward to the days events.
In preparation for the QEII over a mile we have looked back at one of the best performances in the race for some time, back in 2016 when the Aidan O'Brien trained Minding landed the race in taking fashion.
The mare was getting weight off most the field and it told in the final stages when clearing away from one of the best QEII fields seen in the last 10 years.
The one mile event saw the likes of Ribchester, Lightning Spear and Galileo Gold finish behind the mare and throughout her career she showed how special she can be by taking seven Group One races like the Nassau Stakes, Pretty Polly Stakes and the 1000 Guineas.
