We start off another week by looking back at one of the past renewals of the Grade Two International Hurdle at the Cheltenham festival, with the 2019 resumption being a very competitive event.
The event every year acts a stepping stone for most horses entering into the Champion Hurdle at the festival in March and last year the race was won by the Nicky Henderson trained Call Me Lord.
Not the most natural looking type for a Champion Hurdle, But certainly a strong winner of the International, having joined stablemate Pentland Hills jumping the last and finding more up the hill.
Call Me Lord has had a very up and down career, more so in the last few seasons having been a superstar in his younger years and this win is up there with his best accomplishment to date.
