Aintree's Grand National meeting is just around the corner and in preparation for the three day spring festival we will be looking back at some of the 2019 events.
The Betway Bowl is one of the stand out races across the week in Liverpool and the latest renewal of the race saw the Wille Mullins trained Kemboy.
The superstar is a multiple Grade One winner throughout his career landing other contests like the Savills Chase, Irish Gold Cup and Punchestown Gold Cup during his career.
However, two years ago, he showed he could be just as good in England when taking this staying chase, seeing off dual King George winner Clan Des Obeaux.
Having never been able to perform at Cheltenham with him not handling the track, Aintree became a superb opportunity to land big races in Britain and in 2019 he did just that.
