Today we are looking back at the 2018 renewal of the Group One Coral Eclipse and it saw John Gosden land the event with the superstar Roaring Lion for Qatar Racing.
The late great star unfortunately passed away from Colic in 2019 at the age of four, but had a superb career before that landing four straight Group Ones in a row.
The race to start off this run was the Coral Eclipse when the colt saw off the likes of Saxon Warrior, Cliffs Of Moher and past winner of the race Hawkbill.
After winning that event he went on to take the Juddmonte International, Irish Champion Stakes and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes on British Champions Day.
A horse of a lifetime for connections and trainer and today we cherish the memory of Roaring Lion by looking back at his win in the Eclipse.
