Only a few more sleeps until the weekend action kicks off at Newmarket and one of the big races on the day is the Cambridgeshire Handicap that last year was won by the superstar Lord North.
The John Gosden trained four year old was a superb handicapper last term winning this race with ease and also finishing a narrow second in the Balmoral Handicap.
This year he has improved a massive amount to be one of the most progressive horses on the the flat this term landing the Group One Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot.
He has established himself as a black type winning horse that can mix it with the best middle distance nags in the sport and that could be the route the winner of this year's handicap could take.
