Throwback Race For Tuesday - 02/03/21

The Cheltenham festival is now just two weeks away and as we look ahead to the festival, everyday from now we will be looking back at a race from the 2020 meeting.

The race in question today is the Supreme Novices' Hurdle that is going to kickstart the superb four days of action and last year it produced one of the spectacles of the meeting.

A race packed full of superb novice hurdlers looking to take the title as the best two miler in the division and it was left with Shishkin for Nicky Henderson and Abacadabras for Gordon Elliott, who both went neck and neck to the line.

The first race of the 2020 Cheltenham festival produced a Photo-finish with both animals only being split by the smallest of margins up the hill.

Shishkin came away a superb winner of what was a stellar renewal and we hope that we get a similar resumption of the race in just 14 days time.
