This week sees some superb racing at Newmarket and the highlight race of the three days is the Group One July Cup and today we are taking a look back to a special renewal of the race.
In 2019 the star sprinter Ten Sovereigns for Aidan O'Brien went on to take the Group One on the July course at Newmarket in extremely taking fashion.
The son of No Nay Never had an electric start to his career when landing a hat-trick of wins including when winning the Group One Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.
Having been stepped up to a mile for the 2000 Guineas on his three year old debut and finishing an average fifth, he was taken back down in trip for the rest of his career.
Sent into the best sprinting events like the Commonwealth Cup, Nunthorpe Stakes and Everest Stakes over in Australia, his best performance of his career came in this Group One.
