Today we are looking back at last year's winner of the Sprint Cup at Haydock with the Group One taking centre stage this week, and in honour of the race we will be doing the same across the next few days.
A superstar for Sir Michael Stoute, Dream Of Dreams has had many hard luck stories in the big Group One sprint events over the last few years, but after landing this event in 2020, he seems to have got rid of his seconditis.
Having had back to back photo-finish seconds in the Group One Diamond Jubillee at the royal meeting, he then went to Newbury for the Hungerford Stakes and hacked up.
This set him up perfectly for a crack at the Sprint Cup and having been well backed he went on to beat a superb field, with a fair amount of ease.
Dream Of Dreams this term has picked up from where he left off landing a Listed event at Windsor and off the back of that finally got his head in front in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes.
A once in a lifetime sprinter today is a day we look back on his win in the Group One Sprint Cup.
