The Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown is one of the stand out races across the weekend in jumps racing with the Grade One fixture being being the first over hurdles in Ireland for the season.
Last year's renewal, like this term, Saw a small field head to post and Willie Mullins will be looking to lock the race up again having won every renewal for the last nine years.
The forgotten horse Saldier stole the event at a nice price in 2019, with the gelding having his first run in that for over a year having been off the track with injury.
Showing that he goes well fresh, the Rich Ricci owned hurdler breezed to the front before the last hurdle and ran out a game winner of the event.
He has been off the track again since that win with another Injury problem, but he will be looking to land back to back renewals in what looks a similar standard of race to last term.
Saldier is a highly intelligent horse, that if not for his injury problems and fragile state, could have gone close in the 2020 Champion Hurdle and will be heading there this term all being well.
