Throwback Race Of The Day - 06/04/12

Today's throwback race of the day is looking at the 2015 winner of the Grand National with the late Many Clouds, doing what he does best by staying better than any horse to land the spoils.

The Trevor Hemmings owned gelding is sadly no longer with us after passing away at Cheltenham after narrowly getting up in the Grade Two Cotswolds Chase.

Oliver Sherwood's superstar was a gritty, determined horse that never knew when he was beat and when it comes to the Grand National this is exactly what you want.

At odds of 25/1 Many Clouds saw off the likes of Saint Are, Monbeg Dude and Alvarado to clinch to pinnacle race in the jumps calendar.

Although Many Clouds is not with us anymore he will always be remembered for this stellar victory.
