There is no better way to start your Tuesday off than looking back at one of the most special performances seen on a racecourse in the last 10 years.

With Irish Champions Weekend taking place across Saturday and Sunday it gives us ample chance to look back at some of the best races from the special weekend in Ireland from the last few years.

Today's throwback looks back to last year on the Sunday at The Curragh when the best two year old to ever grace a racecourse bolted up in the Group One National Stakes.

Pinatubo for Charlie Appleby made his Irish debut in the juvenile event and with Aidan O'Brien fielding his best youngsters, they were still no match for the Godolphin runner who pulled away from the field with ease.

This year's renewal is set to be a cracker but it will be a big shock if we see another performance like that in the race.
